Mind Minding Mind Mindfully

Mind Minding Mindfully
usually stands-for some
thing like paying efficient
as opposed to deficient
attention, for being aware
or someone on whom
nothing is lost.

Mind minding mindfully
might could stand for
listening or its archaic:
“obedience”

Oyez! Oyez!

Barbara McClintock:
leans in to listen to her
corn shoots:
“ ‘Here!
Here!’
they would say,” she said;
& “that’s how I won my
Noble Prize. Obedience!”

Being mind full of mind,
me making an effort to
be full of it rather than less,
me talking about MIND
like Joe Fish talking about
wet, species-us talking about
sustainability & conscious-
ness let alone un: life let
alone death; Fred Flatlander
talking about some sphere
like a senate investigating
committee investigating
senate investigating
committees like a task force
figuring-out how to do it better:
economics, deep ecology.
Get it right this time, damnit.
Grade it, too. Assess
This!.

Gregory Bateson talks about
mind minding beyond both
Nu Age & Neuronal ways of
talking but he’s doing the
talking after all so it’s a tale
told by an idiot, full of psalms
& furry: occluding the sweet
nothings we would all be talking
about: mind minding mindfully.

My head gets in the way.
Can’t talk about what
I’m talking about except
in vain: clanging ass, a
gong show.

Knowing it is different
from not-knowing it.

It, I said. Do I always
got to be spelling it out?

xxxooo, Presbyter
