While it is a paradox to go back in time
and kill your grandfather, physicists agree
there is no paradox if you go back in time
and save him from being hit by a bus.
("The Collider, The Particle, and a
Theory About Fate." NYTimes ,Oct. 14)
My fear doesn’t make me less
dangerous: homeland security
measures ratchet up one color
after another, checking shoes
and profiling. I may be quiet
and not squeak. That’s tactics.
I’m waiting till it’s safe.
Greek “religious” theater aimed
for cathartic release from pity
& fear as-if 2 different deals,
two economies crying out loud.
.
Disappear Fear makes sense;
but banish Pity?
No sense at all.
Sympathy, empathy, pathos &
pathologic feed on fear. Local
food. Might as well be beyond
Good & Evil as annihilate pity
and fear which was the whole
point of catharsis..
Beyond-ing.
Ultima Thule.
Uncanny.
“School” mode only: not to be
collapsed, conflate or confused
with “Church” or “State.”
To throw my grandfather under
a bus would generate paradox
and contradiction. Saving him
& appearances is better all around.
