I canceled Friday classes when Dean McKinley
insisted on regulating Contact Time (SACs compliance,
I'm sure) and interjected the alternative Fri. schedule.
Never On Fridays:
My syllabus announces this day-1 & so we meet
M-W & T Th and all of us enjoy a restorative
well-ness inducing weekend week after week
and extra study time or curricular activity.
My aim, with my all my courses/classes and "pedagogical"
efforts is always to be building (edifyiing) an Ice Cream Parlor
in Hell (I Scream: Hello!) but without doing injustice to
either Hot or Cold.
I call it Mission Impossible & confess to secret agency .
It's important to acknowledge this Impossibility Prerequisite
for any possibilities possibly to accrue. Understanding seeming
contra diction and operating paradox is essential to practicing
my version of The Liberal Art-- not to be collapsed, conflated,
and confused with the liberal arts majors and minors we are
currently attempting to tweak and time manage.
Doubt it's possible to help any OTHER one with their hecticity.
Like "empowerment" -- can we empower each other? Me,
you? Think about it & Parkinsons Law.
Take the hectic away?
Let me fix you?

My experience is that my hecticity is self-induced and
then, narcissus-like,. I project it onto This & That and
it would take a whole-systemic trauma undermining my
Personal Sustainability Bias & Belief system to realize
it's actual internal source.
Demoralizing.
I sometimes pray for disillusionment. .
Even now I can hear my NO NO NO's ...
denials and cover-ups, my impenetrable
homeland security bells & whistles going
off, know what I mean? Hark!
"Well, drop your hands, then, Sam.
Let go, Let go for crying out loud.
Just Breathe!"
Can't be bourne, tolerated. Got to fix the
whole extermal; system first: make the whirl
a better pace. Even then, my life remains hectic,
damnit. God rest me merry.
