Balanced Living

Students mostly all, well, many sit
in Jensen classrooms  with arms
across their chest memorizing
information flapping about the
room  looking for places to
perch if not roost &
brood.

Room in the Inn

Who takes notes in the middle of rugby
or Gold’s gymnasium work-outs?
Calisthenic going on.

                 *****

I believe it is at the borders of the stupid
and the offensive just shy of transgressing
these 2lines (wherever they might be said
to be drawn) that THE GOOD STUFF
begins to reveal itself.  On the edge.
Know what I’m saying?
Ooops,
slipped,
damn:
bad stuff
instead.

Don’t have to define “THE GOOD STUFF”
Let TGS  be loose and ill-defined for now.
We all know what it refers to in general;
it’s when we start trying to get SPECIFIC
that confusion might be said to generate.

We might could salute & celebrate
                  Indeterminacy
because the more specific we get about the

       LOFTY AND HIGH ~MATTERS
            health care and wellness
truth & honesty;  love & lies,
              goodness  & beauty,
            atrocities & the horrors…
           sustaining the human race

the more we generate dissension,
the more disagreement,
the more diversity
and diversion,
squabbles &
scruples,
threat &
terror:

  Contra Versions  Contra Dictions
             Converse Actions
               (that triad!)

The tensions rise with specificity  as  we
try to determine  General Good  among
our selves and  SELVES. Yes?  Devils
in the details.

Consider as a rule (for the moment), that
in trying to argue-out & express what’s
GOOD and  what’s NOT:

    the more GENERAL: the less Trouble;
the  more SPECIFIC: the more agony.

Notice how general that rule is. Just shy of
where it starts to hit  the fan,. just short of
where dissension breaks out and tensions
crack open—just at those borders  that IT
gets interesting, true?  Leave IT undefined
for now.
