"That Damned Moral Sense"

The underlying and fundamental problem
beneath all our talk this morning--root (radix)
of the problem I will claim (always for the sake
of argument, yes? Or what's a college for?)
                         IS:

         the  GOOD & EVIL trap
         (  goodies and  weasels)
               nice    and  nasty
                         etc)

How many ways can you say your good-&-evils?
Let me count some.

The Rational & the Irrational ;  the Logical & the Illogical
They’d Just Get Along wouldn’t they? If we didn’t stigmatize
one and privilege the other.

Yea, Reason, we cheer. Go getem Logic, we chant

Poor Irene Irrational and Ike Illogical: banished to the
cellar or attic, not at all welcome in the kitchen with the
cup cakes.

Mark Twain declared:  The damned human race and it’s
damned Moral Sense

Is he just describing, or is he condemning?  Does that sound
like AESTHETIC description to you or an ETHICAL judgment?.

“DAMN,”  by the way, literally means damaged but we hit it
with the Evil Stick so now—who’s going to admit how damned
I am.?  Could I get away with that on Oprah?  Unveiling my
denial and cover up?

Exposing myself: “I’m damned, damnit, Oprah:
that’s my  problem.”

No no no. that would be indecent exposure.
“Wounded” is ok; or better: “Vulnerable.”
Oprah likes both,  her and Dr Phil and
Dr Oz all three  thrive on  the wounded
and the vulnerable —but not the damned—
they wouldn’t go along  with that Way of
Talking and who can blame them?
"Damned"  has been hit with the
Evil Stick.

Just describing here. Not condemning  Practicing some
Jane Goodall Mode for the moment.  You got a problem
with that? Yes?  Awesome!  Turn it up. Put it in play.
We can argue.

xxxooo, Sam
