The Impotance of Being Examined

Dear Jeanne (& Colleagues
Across the Curriculum.)

I should brood more on this:
stress and exams, what we
learn and  what we forget.

What motivates? Moves us
to do what we do? Do IT
the way we do?

But I tend to shoot first & ask
questions later. Write first
and think afterwards: me,
moving violation & academic
anomaly I guess--trying to
make virtue of it.

Your thoughts provoke.
Your ideas made me do it.

devil."

we were hauling sheet rock. .

The Importance of Being Examined

 An act of violence, whether
full body scans at the air port
or my  oral examining some
great book:  a whole is
reduced to parts, inspected
& tested  to conform to my
measurable goals & outcomes
aims and agenda you don't
got a problem with that?

I rip-off parts &
by violence bear
IT away.

IT, I said.

Just describing here.
No condemnation.
The damage done’s
in denial & cover-up .

I confess. I admit:
criminal discriminator,
violation  every step I
take, move I  make:

vim, perhaps related to
wiros  “man,”
“world.”

Domestic violence.
& turtles all the
way down..
