Watching My Words

Watching My Words

Every word I say,
sentence I make:
liability if  not
libelous,  ripping
off pieces of whole
& a crime against
nature.  I admit this
again & again &
proceed to practice
violence—contrite; &
convinced confession
redeems my  passport
to proceed guilty as
possibly charged.

So sue me already.

In my professorial
mode of courses I
am likely to creep
more cautiously,
disclaim &
parenthesize:
proffering a
“this”
rather than
“that” and
“that” and
“that.”

er, ah, ummm
seems to me
and goes without
saying with all
due respect it
would appear
that again &
in other words
it might behoove
us
etc etc etc

how I talk professing
NEWS about
Hawthorne, say:
flying out to
Cleveland, my
brief case & hard
copy to take turns
at a podium: stand
& deliver at the
Hyatt Airport:
Rosicrucian
Conference
Room.
