Specimen Daze

Dear Dialecticians,

“Ever had a memory pop-up inexplicably
and yet seeming significant and vivid?"
 
Something like that, Sam asked. Other Sam,
not Me-Sam: Sam the object—sitting across
from  Me-Sam, behind  a desk, in her own
properly “idiotic” not to be replicated
relationship with her chair. 
 
I know I know:
Sam’s a  subject-in-her-own right,
but to  me: object.  I’d be lying if I
didn’t admit it. All  of you—objects
for crying out loud.
 
Am  I being patronizing? paternal?
patriarchal?  Could I be more
matronizing, maternal,
matriarchal if I tried? 
 
OR at least pretend—give the appearance?
 
SEE what happens when we re-invent the
wheels, zero base and work-it up from old
scratch:
 
consciousness (varieties of)
system governance (boss of)
cultural relativity
body-mind difference and
relationship
feelings vs emotions…
 
It becomes a language problem. Language
is the means & media, and shows itself to be
loaded  with standard USAGE and connotations
carrying biases & beliefs prejudices & convictions
of culture webs and region and local food for thought
 
Can’t you FEEEEEEEL the assault,
the defense/offense resistance generated
by the wonderfully exposed inadequacy
of our talk talking?

Holy Smokes and mirrors: like sending semaphore
out  the cave on  windy daze,  metaphorical inchoate
inarticulate  inchoate arrows of  our own device
hoping they hit ah, ouch oh hell, damnit: that
smarts hit OR miss..

that word became as common
& euphemistic as “screw.”
