Jason and the Argue-Nots (School for Skandala(

Dear Colleagues Across the Curriculum

I confess: the brief back & forth with Jeff and Kathryn
is like a plug-in recharging my Electric Company Car
for crying out loud.  Don't take much to do academics.
(Not yr professional Academics--breeding ground
of plagiarism & brown gnosis,  force-it pursuit of
knowledge and intellect dual  freedom riding:
talking amateurism here--for the love of IT:
who's going to plagiarize love for heavens
sakes!).

        School for Skandala
        Jason and the Argue-Nots
                 Need Not Apply

My ongoing summer Face Book & colleague
debates, dialogue wise-cracking clanging  brass,
gong show  and & sometime dialectical sparring
& territorial  pissing is probably  not  culturally
and collectively edifying  but yet indirectly
individually  confirming: building up my home
land security borders, practicing  my hegemony-
efforts reinforcing bias & belief but  sustaining
opposition w/o  nailing it down:  no dominance /
submission  stabilization going on, nor sustained
argument sufficient to build-up a common shine,
damnt.

It takes so long.

But still: genial, revealing a larger “whole.” that
preserves  the agon, and a  winning-by-constant-
losing. (It would  be a global loss if we “won”—
either individually, or as players.)

Growing a sense of beyond good & evil while
maintaining the  play of  good&evil necessary
to stay “in game.” Even  as I secure my bias I
see how insecure it  is. Even  as I revel in my
rhetorical moves and maneuvers & get better
at them, I see  how  inadequate they are.

The  difference between my  partiality and the
WHOLE becomes more and more  interesting
and  clear at  the cost of my  win-to-lose ratios
in real-time gladly  sacrificed, I  say, in order
to be pushing  the edge of  common  sense—
a stalwart pioneer.  Conservatory Academics
Cake and Eat-IT too.

NBP: Nothing but Players.
(No plagiarists need apply.)

Argument: from I.E. arg   to shine.
Build up a common shine.
Edify.
xxxooo, Sam
