Immaculate Conceptualizing

Dear Linguistics, Fiction-ers, Transcendentalists
and Colleagues ATC

Immaculate Conceptualizing

An immaculate (unspotted) conception is one that flies
in (so to speak) from beyond, from without. From out
of the box, as we say, into the box:  not spotted by the
system  which might be said to be  getting knocked
up by the intrusion.  Impregnated.  Reconfigured. Trans-
formed. Reformatted. Recalibrated. Systemically (as
opposed to merely symptomatically) changed.
Delivering New Information.

A camel hair poked at a frog’s egg will start the dividing
and sub-dividing process which  generates a “habloid” frog.
Full grown and sterile—no DNA info transferred  but still:
an immaculate conception.

In a sense every conception is immaculate. I believe
Goedel’s Theorem regarding the  inability  of system
to both  complete and  consistent might  be a variation
on this, but I’ll trust a mathematician to  correct me if
I’m  pushing the edge of the metaphor too far..

News from Beyond:  immaculate and “unspotted”
by my own organization,  beyond my terms..
BB Wolf knocking on the doors of the 3
little pigs.  A horror from their stand
point & ecos logic, but an
immaculate conception
from mine.

It’s all meta force, regardless how tightly we hold
on  to our organizing notions and the ways we
represent, true?   We  must  “map” reality with our
theories & assumptions, & standing-fors & models.
But they are always in a descriptive  sense a “rip-off”
of the whole.  Need we argue? Of  course.  We must.
How else come to shared terms & images?  OR
what’s a college for?

I shouldn’t say “all meta force” as if it were “mere”
and of no significance. Meta  force is how we represent.
IT’S ALL  META FORCE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.
IT”S ONLY META FORCE for crying out loud.

A very big deal.  We live and die by metaphors and fight
to defend our maps and representations, ways of talking
and the terms that determine us —mostly  transparent in
the sense that  we are hardly aware of their impact and
influence.

Until someone tweaks the way we like to think & talk—
twists it, juggles,  makes an immaculate concept out of it, say.
Then we notice.  Ooof, Ouch, OOO, damnit—what the?
What the hell?   What the hell kind of a deal
was that deal?

Do I overstate?   I am large. I contain pulchritude
But we can argue.

xxxooo, Sam
