knock knock knocking on heaven's doors

“Information cannot be used up.  Once it has been
created, it can be used over and over again. In the end, it
is still there. In exactly the same condition as it began.

Most new information, moreover, is created from other

information, making it a renewable energy source. In
electronic form, neither its production nor its
use
generates waste products that damage the
environment.

In that sense: information is the
ultimate “green” energy.”

I’ve been breaking away from secular & sacred
humanism for some time now.  Pox on both housings.
Walking on 3 legs hobble-de-hoy, sphinxed,  stumped.
      I admit it.

Denial and cover up’s The Problem.
                         Not the problem.

“When new technologies offering improved value to
consumers are released into the ecosystem of an
existing industry, they always disrupt existing
business relationships.”

It’s not what I know that counts but how
and whether I can put it in play.

what  /  how  /  play
token  /  game  /  performance
noun  /  verb  /   sentence
text  /  context  /  conversation
         eat/pray/love

IF a Fool Persist in his Fol-de-Rol

I was raised on the story that if I knocked on the doors
long enough and hard, God will stick his head out the
window, irritated, sure—trying to sleep:  had enough
of my ongoing rackets:

Well., what the hell do you want
in god’s name? All this tink a
              tank tunk & hullabaloo
              for  crying out loud?

And I tell him, and he says.

“Boy you ought to be careful   what  you ask for

and then grants IT not  necessarily in my  own terms,
damnit: I know that. Almost un-recognizable but never
the less  I asked for IT..

IT =  attention.  See me, hear me, touch me, feed me.
When I enter a classroom, stand on  the desk. Clap
your hands. Name your first-born after me.

I could deny IT &  say

“IT’s the principle of the thing
             I’m asking for: doing good,
making the whirl a better pace

But frankly my dears, I don’t give a damn. I’d rather be
RIGHT than Right or righteous know what I’m saying?
Rather be GOOD than Good or  goodie.

I accused my old man (presbyter) of having an EGO big as
George Washington's monument. “Yes,” he said:  “I do,
and mine’s crucified.”

That must smart.

…We’re only just now starting to see the impact
of the Law of Disruption. Newspapers which
originally shrugged off digital technology as a
novelty, are fighting for their lives.

In defense of ignorance  if not stupidity. I can drive a car
and know nothing of it’s workings, use my laptop, surf the
net, skim books on Laws of Disruption and neuro- cognition,
skip superficially across ponds of  technical  terms & knowledge.
walk thru a field, a mall, .drive to Connecticut ignorant to what’s
happening in the other 6 lanes humping over expansion cracks
surrounded by semis  and suvs, jet planes low overhead landing
in Newark and what I don’t know won’t hurt me. Knowing it
would.

“Digital technology has transformed the market from
one based on industrial production to an information
      economy fueled by ideas.”

Information doesn’t get used up, costs little to
distribute, and often improves in value the
more it is used. (Downes, The Laws of Disruption…
                                                     in The Digital Age.)

Use & Abuse it, or lose it.
IT, I said.
