Knight of Faith (not to be confused with Hero of the People)
Dear Colleagues,
Got to admit: Harold Camping is
as cool as anyone I know, big
ears listening to God, rear guard to
Mother Teresa’s healing depressions
& lepers; reminds me of Jack Nicholson
trying to pull a cistern out of the men’s
room in the insane asylum—hard
sweat and grunt:
“At least I tried” he advised his inmates.
“Don’t give up, don’t ever give up,” says
Trump, and Harold has already shifted the
apocalypse from last weekend to next
October.
Failure never deters a Knight of Faith—
as interesting as David Letterman and
Lady Gaga, got to admit: it’s been an
apocalyptic kind of year.
