"Well, then I had to kick his ass."

Dear Colleagues (across the curriculum)

“We don’t teach our students how to argue,”
 said the Professional Educator

We’re no good at it ourselves, either.

Need we ARGUE?    Of course. We must.   OR
            what’s a college for?

IE. arg  “to shine”-genuine, brilliant,
               clarity. Gk. argos – white,
Argentina – city of shining light.

Jason and the Argonauts – sailing
   after the golden fleece.

                as opposed to

           Edification. Liberal Art .
Building up a shared shining, clarity.

Excuse me, in my idiocy I call this a representation
of the holy grail, Dan Brown and his DaVinci coding
not with standing: always right under our very gnosis.

Is this a picture of two faces facing or a goblet?
Which is the figure? Which is the background?
Need we argue?

Argument is the liberal art.
Need we argue?  Emergent values and
phenomena rising up out of our back
and forth,
no it isn’t
yes it is
beg to differ
why of course
you don’t say
I’m not kidding,
seriously, know
what I mean, know
what I’m saying? No
not yet but keep it going
     oh sustain!
Wasn’t that good for
you that converse action!

And don’t be confusing the converse action with the topic,
content, so called  subject matter. Mere token for play.
How else get good at it if your lost in  the whatsamatter.

IT’s never about what  its about

xxxooo, Sam
