Pants on Fire ! Fire !

Liar ! Liar !

"All Cretans are Liars,"  saysd Epimenides, the Cretan.

If he's telling the truth, he's lying. And if he's lying,
he's telling the truth.

What happens with self-referencing statements:
statements about themselves. Can you trust them?
Statements about statements-about-themselves?.

This sentence is false.
This sentence (this-sentence-is-false) is true.

A kid in class announces, "This (text) book sucks!"
A bold & beautiful declaration. Self referencing
covered by our convention of objective observation.

Could have been reviewing a movie, a poem,.
Mohammad Ali in the ring,  someone anyone
assessing a term  paper, commenting on bacon,
second hand  smoke, bottle water, Finnegan's
Wake, measuremental goals. weather.

What I just said says everything about me,
not a thing about what it's about, It's about
me  saying stuff and the stuff said is the media
which is the message abouit me unless you
insist on paying your efficient  attention disease
to content, subject-object matter and think
that's what counts.

E = MC squared.
What's THAT about?
I'm listening.

Anyone with a decent gen-ed liberal art education
(beyond majors and minors and capstones called
liberal arts)  will appreciate the liar liar Epimenidean
paradoxical aspect of all human communication and
know the difference between "sticks & stones" and
sticks and stones and where the hurt comes form.

It's empowering.  This distinction. That's what I say
It's my story and I'm sticking to it. Need we argue?
