OMG

.Dear Colleagues Across the Curriculum
   (Coursing without  Borders Series)
Convention can bring sufficiency, but beyond
its walls, beyond “the structures we erect in such
glorious and proud detail, lies a spiritual plenitude
that human structures necessarily obscure. in fact,
it is  because this fullness lies beyond design that
Krishna’s revelation must come through disruption

Hospitality.

Gluttonous and drunk: friend to gnostics
and agnostics, theists and atheists, secret
service revelers, onanists and organists,
fiddlers and trombone players, stockcar
drivers and pimps, politicians on both sides
of the aisle, homecoming queens & little
princesses, communists & dreaded socialists,
pro-life & pro-choice, wealthy &  the poor
we have with us all ways, rubric readers and
helter-skelters, child molesters and educators,
civic leaders and their unruly offspring, horse
traders &  powder skiers,  Lutherans, Calvinist
and their ilk...all these and more fit into my
Procrustean Bed always welcome at  Fools
Rush Inn where angels  fear to tread nor need
bother to  apply.

There is an art-making that begins with pore-seeking
(lifting the shame covers, finding the loophole, refusing
to guard the secrets), that uncovers a plenitude of
material hidden from conventional eyes, and that points
toward a kind of mind able to work with that revealed
complexity, one called, in these last cases, the
hinge-mind: the translator mind.  (Hyde)
