Consumation of Desire
Critical Thinking:
Lucid Schemes
I have a massive head lamp
which allows me to affix the
beam wherever I turn,
annihilating shadow: nothing
but pure illumination. I use
it to study darkness.
Re Aims,Goals, & Measurable Outcomes
Possession has its single limited object.
Literalized desire (my term) is therefore a kind
of trap of appetite.
The consummation of desire circumscribes
ones’ freedom to move and change.
Better to balance at the boundary itself (edge),
to be in and out of the game simultaneously—
poised between acting in the material world
and taking it as a field for detached symbolic play
(Lewis Hyde:? The Trickster Makes This World)
