Anarchy & Chaos: 2 Mothers of Invention

Dear Linguists, Fictionists, Transcendental
Romantics and Colleagues Across the Curriculum

(Coursing w/o Borders Series Cont.)

See the space below?

That represents the  chaos – unveiled by anarchy
(no arches, no  structures)

Chaos (not to be confused with “random” is a container
notion; literally from Indo European
gheu:  “to yawn,”
                 “gape,”  “gap,” “chasm.”

                                      chaos

Potent. Potential. Power. Possibility. Prior to “the word”
which is said to start things off

We sit in silent chaos: the most powerful of all classes.
Possibilities galore. Until  anyone  speaks. Word.  Fiction
filling the gap and inaugurating, initiating, authorizing the
universe of converse.

In the beginning is always WORD.

Look – there was a “space” below when I  began above.
Gone  Chaos covered over, hidden, concealed by agenda.
Potency reduced to impotence.   Fiction fashioning fact
and faction.

Get it?

(IT, I said. Do I have to be spelling IT out?

How would you get IT if I did?)
