INCOMMENSURATE

“He who would do good to another must do it in
Minute Particulars: general Good is the plea of
the scoundrel, hypocrite, and flatterer, for Art
and Science cannot exist but in minutely
          organized Particulars.”  (Blake)

                INCOMMENSURATE

A student in my Transcendental & Romantic
course accurately and effectively used that
word in a response to the hand out the other day.

I’m assuming she got it from me.
I’m going to assume that
regardless.

And That right there justifies the whole semester

Do I overstate?
I am large.
I contain pulchritude.

Let all the children remain behind if at least one
uses and feels comfortable with and understands
the profound significance of the word

                 INCOMMENSURATE.

IT keeps me in the game.
IT, I said.  Do I always got to be spelling
IT out for you?
