Liberal Art on the Other Hand

LIBERAL ART (on the other hand):

Arguing is where ITs at.  From Latin argos :the shine, to
build a common shining (“Argentina”). Edifying. The word
used to be a good word before it became a bad word
(arguing)  and maybe you can guess why.

My courses all factor-in ANARCHY: no arches or leaders
no governance;: “that government governs best which
governs not at all, says Thoureau  and in my Ivory Tower
Academic setting, I take him at his word.

Anarchy  reveals  (apocalyptically) and exposes   the
CHAOS (emptiness, void)  which is always with  us—
fundamental potential  filtered by our agenda, purpose,
goals, getRdone, habits and habitattoos..

Anarchy and Chaos and Confusion  as well as Common
Sense and Nonsense and No-Sense-At-All  are among
the Mothers of Invention. – a neglected academic renewable
resource potentially generating  the Clarity and  Consistency
and Coherence that we salute and love.

The texts that we read are essentially  TOKENS for our
LUDIC play.   CONTEXT (us, the readers, the talkers, the
arguers or if you prefer: the discussants, conversationalists)
is, as far as I’m concerned, the real subject & topic  of my
courses: the effort to make our own sense from our agreement-
to-disagreement ratios, noise- to-news ratios, our silence,  our
stuttering  stammering awkward-to-articulate ratios...

(a ratio, by the way, is what REASON is—rational,
rationalizing, rationalizations:: ratios between this
and that —and we often only privilege the THIS in
our reasoning  and ignore the THAT’s   that  are its
Siamese  twin. LOVE  for example: one sibling  in
the love-to-hate ratio, Yes? Clarity: mere twin to
Confusion. Hot without cold is ludicrous.if you
intend to be rational & shower. Charity  to Greed ratios.
I could go on.

Be RATIONAL & do justice to both operatives
crying out loud, and not half-estimate estimating.

Need we argue?
