Need We Argue?

Dear American Literati, Readers
in Humanity, Dialecticians and
Colleagues Across the Curriculum.

Never on Friday Lecture
(Coursing without Borders)

What is KNOWLEDGE?

Asks a student in American Literature
The question makes a noun of IT, as-if
it were some  thing I might have, lose,
make, give to  you and maybe you’ll take
it or not.

As-if. .

How much do I know?  More than you?
Less?  Same amount but  different? How
do I know?

What is truth, the truth?  Noun? Verb?  Do
I have some?   Do it? Want it?

A measureable outcome?. Or mere manners
of speaking so to speak?  Convenient. A
convention—the measuring  of knowledge..

If there is no person sitting on the rock, is
the rock hard?  I say no: no no no..  If the
cat isn’t in  the  same   room  with me, is it
still a Sneeze- Maker?  Or course not.. I have
no  agenda in my course so  there is no such
thing as  ADD to  be found.  When I don’t
give an  exam every one is as smart as the
smartest kid in class.

Need we argue?

Don’t talk like this in them other  classes.
Monkey wrenches the  Getting of Done.
I know this for  a  fact.

I’m  hear to learn.
Do the mathema.
