HATE (Gotta Love It)

HATE

One of the maybe uncanny maybe obvious truths
that came out in last time's session in the Dialogue
to Dialectic class was that

We Hate Each Other.

That’s fundamental.  I don’t mean this in a negative
sense, but descriptive.

If you have a better word that doesn’t dilute, use it.

Hate’s a good word because it is hated.

It stands for what we most reject, deny, turn away from.
Find repulsive.  The opposite, it seems, of LOVE, which
we admire as a positive designation.

We are separate parts and apart and alone and all one
and  distinct and self-centered  and in competition with
and opposed to every OTHER (el – else, alien, god)

You are not ME, need we argue?

We will never occupy the same space. We meet like
billiard balls. We are sovereign fortresses homeland
security driven and  ever OTHER is a threat

True?

Need we fight this out?

It would be a good fight because what I just said is
covered over, denied for the sake of community,
family, politics—where love is all we need.

Do you see the problem here?

Here’s the PATTERN:

much of our AFFECT if not all is framed in binary terms:

love/hate,
good/evil,
pleasure/pain/
wealth/poverty,
health/sickness,
joy/sorrow,
clarity/confusion, determinacy/indeterminacy.. etc

Now these POLES could be seen as cybernetic guidance
systems, like cruise control., like hot-to-cold ratios while
playing hide-the-penny.  They help us navigate toward a goal.

No… you’re cold, cool, warm, warmer: hot hot hot, or ouch: pain,
hmm less pain, ah pleasure--ooo feels good; or miserable, sicker
better, healing, health.

RATIOS—cold to hot ratios, pain to pleasure ratios,
sick to health ratios,  good to evil ratios.

(ratios =: rational, reason –always a relationship and not just
a dominance, though dominance is a relationship too:
dominance to submission ratios.)

BUT we PRIVILEGE one of the binary terms and  deny, cover,
hide, subvert, reject the other term skewing the cybernetics
so that
Love
Good
Pleasure
Heath
Joy
Clarity
Deteriminacy
becomes a goal rather than a parameter.

Understandable because we love love, good, pleasure, health,
joy, clarity, determinacy and hate hate, evil pain, poverty, sickness,
sorrow, confusion, indeterminacy.

Half assed?

Can you see the problem in this?

Without an  ultimate personal GOAL whereby the binary ratios help
navigate like guided missiles,  the binary polarities themselves
become twisted (“depraved“)  as perverted propulsion/ revulsion,
attraction/ repulsion motivational forces and we end up going
round and round,  chasing our tail as it were.

[endif]

Immediate Gratification dynamic.  Pleasure Good, pain bad… etc.

Proper Cybernetic Cruise Control guidance system for Long range
aim,  goal, purpose, mission and measurable outcomes.

These 2 hostile anc opposed notions actually complement each other
as ratios.  This class for example: chaising our tales, yes?  All them
other classes—going for it, moving on down the road.

What if you had only one type? Irrational, yes. Need we argue?

The practice of DIALECTIC is a corrective.  Reclaiming the negative
and the “hate” full.  Putting it back in PLAY with it’s proper opponent
and opposition.   No wonder Plato referred to this practice as the “way”
out of the “cave” (culture, custom, convention closet., confusion, clarity,
consistency…)

This is a TRICKSTER presentation.
Meant to confuse clarity and clarity confusion.
Does it?   Need we argue?  Or what's a
college for?
