The 3rd Economy

Dear Ones (For the Sake of Leisure-Time Argument? )

The 3rd Economy

                       Liberal Art

Seemingly fiddle-de-de  while Rome yearns, in
manners of speaking: how else address holes
in the roof while the moral majority  sweep
the stairs, clean living rooms, unplug the johns,
re-arrange cupboards and lawn chairs after
the grand deluge?

                  Juxtapositions

Position stuff in close  proximity but  don’tmake
connections or bridge gaps or buildbabble towers
or spell IT out….IT, I said.

The word “juxtapose”  emerged  from college
History of Art class where it was used & abused
like “sustain ability”: juxtapose this,  juxtapose that;

“JUXTAPOSE”:  the notion stood  out more than
what ever  juxtapose was juxtaposing  like the back-
ward S that regulates however-it-is yin and yang
might be said to just get along so transparently
tucked-in to the re-presentation I might not pay it
any mind  until I do & then it seems more interesting
than either one  or the other: the economy of yin,
the economy of yang.

I’ve come to make it a pedagogical practice:
juxtaposition. A 3rd economy, slapping stuff on
the board, ripping samples from text & context,
putting amess of stuff in  proximity but not giving
away the punch lines: no  connections, no bridges,
no towers of relationship; all links just dying to be
made and it’s the MAKING  that counts, yes?

Provocation: call waiting for response.

Making connections, once made: dead.
If I have to  make them for anyone else,
well, dead meet iswhat I’m serving up,
robbing you  of your a Ha & EUREKA

I get it. I got it.
