WORD

WORD

Most people are obviously far more
anxious to express their approval
and disapproval of things than to
describe them.

Hence, the tendency of words to
become less descriptive and more
evaluative.           C.S. Lewis

Descriptive (aesthetic)
or Evaluative (ethic),
you say

terrific awesome ignorant logical
reasonable OMG

The Bookocracy is done for, if not over.
Post literate, neo-oral:  a book’s not the
frigate no more and on-the-same-page is
just a manner of speaking about a manner
of speaking referencing olden days, good
old daze: gone but the melody  lingers on.

Can you hear me now?  READ says  my
colleague’s lintel door post.  Toeing the line.
Listen. Hark. Oyez. Obey. I’m talking to you.

Media is the Message. Not the message.
Context’s the Text, not the text.
Background is  Figure, not  figure.
Liberal Art, not the liberal arts.
Play’s the thing.
