Bridges and highways and canals and
twitter and electrical grids, wind- power
and solar: all that talk refers to:
infrastructure,
media
and NOT to the Goods & Services &
truck loads of bananas, color tvs &
music, medicine & surveys of American
literature: all the stuff I want & need &
use & abuse that structures my life, say:
the things that carry me into more.
Infrastructure is transparent.
Who sees it?
Nobody until it starts breaking up, pot holes and
power lines down, bridges dumping commuters
into rivers
and
& snail darters falling under the radar with
Content of our discontent becomes Ways & Means:
shovel-ready infra-structure across the curriculum,
context becomes text; figure shifted to background
& media is now the message: our house of usher &
delivery system..
It's a good thing.
