Formative, Transformative: Transmogrification

Dear College,

We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking
we used when we created them. --- Albert Einstein.

A good man, hard to find: talking out of one side of his
mouth only, single-minded clarity, contra-diction free,
says what he means, means what he says. “Let me make
one thing perfectly clear”-- he will assert.
More often than naught.

Transformative Learning
toward Transmogrification

................Transformative
Formative Transmogrification

Formative Learning, let’s say, stands for what
we’re all used to, true? The Over All Box that
bubbles & circumscribes our Varieties of
Cultural Educational Conventional Experience:.
how we were raised and educated. Our Schooling:
K thru PhD. Formative years.

Let “Formative” stand for our given continuity,
our status quo as well as our homo-sapien homeo-
static sustainable maintenance sustaining our world
as we know it in all its good-&-evil glory, our more
& less shared sense of what's possible & impossible,
what's deadly & merely deadening in between which
we do the best we can to make our world a better place.

May we agree that our interest in the Transformative
& Transmogrified. demands new ways of thinking
& talking that aren’t Formative-Determined, that
won’t reduce our concepts of the transformative
process and the transmogrified state into
formative terms and determinations
unawares, know what
I mean?

Otherwise I might think I’m thinking & talking
Transformation and Transmogrification and
what I’m actually thinking & talking is
merely Formative sartor resartus dressed up
in Emperor's new clothes. Ask Jeanne Summers
if you won't take my word for it.

Like Joe Fish talking wet & dry and of course
Fish is all wet and his piscatorial thought &
talk soaks! & he: sopping, don’t even know it.
Ask Tom Showalter if you don't believe me.

Do you see the problem here? May we turn it up?
If we don't see the problem we've got even a
bigger problem and forget-it as far as trans
forming & morgrification is concerned.

Transformation is beyond formation—and
Transmogrification is beyond Transformation.
Ultima Thule. Beyond frontiers yet unknown.

If you hear me talking Transformation and
Transformative learning (forget trans-
mogrification)
keep in mind that I’m
necessarily babbling in Formative
How could it be otherwise?

KNOWING THIS (that I’m a formative babbler
babbling in Formative about Transformation
and meta-babbling about Transmogrification)
is better than not knowing. Gnosis, in this case,
trumps ignorance. I’ll continue babbling in
Formative—knowing better. Noblesse Oblige..

Sam, you’re not making sense.
I know. I know. Defenseless.

.......Nonsense
Sense No Sense At All

These 3 Mothers of Invention. And the
greatest of these makes no sense at all.

Let’s say talking out of one side of the mouth
might be considered the given Formative
standard & admirable

A good man, hard to find: talking out of one side
of his mouth only, single-minded clarity, contra-
diction free, says what he means, means what
he says. “Let me make one thing perfectly clear”--
he will assert. More often than naught.

The capacity to talk (& listen) out of two sides of
the mouth could be considered transformative—
saying on the one hand and at the same time on
the other hand, if I can mix meta-force and be
doing no injustice to both.:

Double Dealing:

A wildness bewildering to the
consistent, aggravating to the
coherent: beyond goodies &
weasels, beyond logical &
analogical, beyond rational &
irrational, linear-minded &
constellational, republican &
democrat...2 opposing truths
out of one mouth simultaneous
forked-fire twin-tongued
whole-y smokes & mirrors.

Triple Crown

And talking out of 3 sides of the mouth:
a transmogrification devoutly to be
desired. Do I have to spell it out?
I could babble-IT-out in
Formative but it'd be
not even close-- no
common sense
at all.

xxxooo, Sam
