Nihilism in the Best Sense

Nihilism in the Best Sense.

Relationship is not a thing.
However: it is things we
carry into war.

Relationship's a noun, sure—and in
that sense thing-y. And we talk about
IT as if it were a thing: I’m in a relationship
now. I’m out of it, no longer in one. As if it
were a place or person as well as thing,
which it IS in a manner of speaking only.

And love, hate, courage, fear, redemption,
damnation, enlightenment, anticipation,
hunger, desire….no things. Nothing.
Except in manners of speaking.

We thing-fy (re-ify) by nature. How can
we not? Abstract stuff must be embodied
otherwise what? Nothing but hissing,
ah-ing, mmmm ooo-ing and passing
of wind.

We must REPRESENT, damnit.
Archetypes (ideas) become
Stereotypes (manifest) and
Stereotypes become allo-
typical variations, regional
& local diversity.

My god’s got a beard & thunderbolts.
Your god’s got three heads & lots of
arms. Need we argue or can we just
have a relationship? Well, we're in
relationship (so to speak), like IT
or not.

Who’s going to be easier to hang with
during the Royal Beatings: Nihilist or
True Believer? Ludicrous or Danny
Boy & the Delusionists?

Relationship is nothing. Beyond me.
If I try and manipulate, it makes a
monkey of me. I give it a Royal
Beating & say what’s going right
or wrong: I explain it, interpret it,
tell my reasons why, because &
affect It’s like rationalizing a dream.

Nonsense reduced to my sense of
sense and terms of desire: the things
I carry into war & sticks & stones

I pray for disillusionment:.
