relationship: aka intellect & affect, aka mind &
body, aka pattern & matter, aka pa & ma
and Malcolm in the Muddle in-between these
2 radically different, hostile, incommensurate yet
complimentary & related aspects of the
psycho-logic..

Hawthorne casts the SAME dueling banjo rock
& hard pace in terms of moral and immoral:
rational & irrational
good & evil.
And why can’t they Just Get Along?

The POINT:

The agon(y) of human experience. A gut, visceral
feeling. Call it “guilt” or “fear” or “anxiety” or “panic.”
Existential, sure: but I put e-motive terms to it, explain
& interpret in order to “transcend” or fix, cure, heal—
as if it were a wound that could be mended: stimulus
package for my psychological, philosophical, & religious
practices: salvation, deliverance, conversion agenda.

I cut myself. I starve myself
I binge and purge, I jog,
I read I drink, drug,
medicate & fool around:
take vacations courses,
pursue degreed, pray,
mediate, practice yoga
& pilates all ways of
addressing my
