Dimitri:  So you admit it: philosophy is just semantics.
 
Tasso:    Just semantics? How else could you do
                     philosophy? With grunts and giggles?
 
Dimitri:  This clarifies everything we've been talking
                                                                    about.
Tasso:     In what way.
 
Dimitri:   What you call “philosophy.” I call “a joke.”

             The Impossibility Pre-Requisite
 
A student recently sent me a TED lecture which ended with
something like this (reconfiguring it to fit my screed):
 
X ) There's no way in hell one person  can make a difference.
 
Z)  Anyone can make a difference.
 
Y)  Once you fully realize how impossible it is  to do
  what-you-want-to-do  (and not until then): it becomes possible.
 
x)  Nonsense!
 
z)  NONSENSE: yes, of course, nonsense in the best sense!
 
The Y Factor. The emerging 3^rd term super-ordinate notion
that isgenerated by sustaining any contradiction & paradox
contrary &;opposition, nuisance binary double bind duality,  rock
&; hard pace,devils and  deep blue sees, keeping the agon in play
until syn-thesisreveals itself:  a revelation as long as  I don't reduce
the opposition to mash &; mush or let one side win but  turn IT up
(the fight-club. the antagonism) biff & bam without which contraries, 
as Blake says:Is No Progress.
 
“The opposite of a profound truth,”says Nobel Prize winning
physicist,Neils Bohr, “is another profound  truth.... I see we 
are approaching paradox (he would say): we must be making
progress.”
