Crying Theater! Theater! in a Crowded Fire

Dear Colleagues Across the Aisle,
Stage, Curriculum.

Crime & Punishment:
Crying Theater! Theatre!
in a Crowded Fire.

Sure, Theater's a ”liberal art”
—the
           THE
in theatric means view:
aesthetic: how-IT-is,
IT, I said. Place for
seeing, as Ron  says.

As opposed to not-seeing:
As opposed to anesthesia
anesthetic, anesthetized..

All the whirl a stage and we:
hypocrites  actors, players,
our masques the personae
what  a person is: a sound-
thru, magaphonic. Now
here this! Personality.

Theater is LIKE what
Howard Cosel is to
Mohammed Ali:
commentary.
Look! Look”
Mohammad in the
ring: b  o  x  x  i  n  g.

REAL Theatre R us in converse
action: hypocrites answering to
each other—our back & forth,
our role playing. Drama.

Theatrics: liberal art opposed to
&  not to be collapsed, conflated
& confused with a liberal art--
what we major and minor in.

xxxooo, Sam

  1. I love it. You have a way of making relatively benign concepts interesting and dangerous sounding.

  2. Gracias, Steven: can't imagine a more gratifying (to me) response. Well,
I supposed if Michelle Bachman and
her running mate were as delighted, that would be cool. Awesome, actually.
