The point: how can we know anything
by itself, without contrast, comparison,
figure/background. We swim in culture and
convention and convenience—unawares
Not even seeing it. Or hearing.
Disobedient.
Go ahead and mess with my metaphor.
Come up with a better image to show how
we don’t know what we don’t know because
what we do know is so enveloping—our focused
schemes eclipsing all the REST, know what
I mean.: the liability of lucidity. Counter intuitive
yes?
