The Meaning of Alive & Dead

Spiritual?
Who isn’t?
Religious?
Who is?

Blowing in the wind
on the one hand
Bondage on
the other.

Excruciating.

Better be spiritual
& eschew the yoga
binding me back to
some  resource.

Excruciating.

Wind in the will
o’ the whisperer:
ah, spirituality
—o my yes:
religious religiosity
  — my my, no..

O my my O hell yes
Honey put on that
 party dress buy me a
drink, sing me a song
take me as I come cause
I can’t stay long T. Petty

The prettiest drowned woman in the world

It’s fair and accurate to say
in some uncommon sense: our
class is deadly even dead
because it’s alive and would
be alive if only it were dead.

A Death blow is a Life blow to Some
Who till they died, did not alive become—
Who had they lived, had died but when
They died, Vitality begun.  (Emily Dickinson)
