The Woman in Tunesia (Necessary But Insufficient Causality)

Necessary But Insufficient Causality

Casting peril before shining morning’s
minions: throw it away, throw it away
and let any child be left behind: can’t
force the issue & no rubric’ll do
justice to eureka!  .

What’re the possibilities predicting
who & when & where a grocer hit
in the face by a female ex officio
authoritarian  would feel bad enough
to light himself on fire igniting unrest
across the middle east?

Glenn Beck with his black board
accountability & reasons-why
would never come up with this
splendid origin, seeing as it don’t
fit his because-&-affect assessment
of foreign affairs..

You might  point the finger elsewhere
to say how-come-it-is gas costs more
and groceries and tuition:  a bullet fired
in the 19th c. perhaps, a butterfly flapping
in Brazil, the woman in Tunisia, heart
broken  the night before & just doing
her job today:

"Got not license to sell these tomatoes?
Surrender your scales."

Going to feel it at the pump.
You need to know why.
