A Hyde Park of Our Own

Fostering Sustainable Community, Silly!

A mathematician, a physicist, a chemist,
a biologist, an anthropologist, a socio-
logist, historian, literary critic, a gender
specialist, philosopher, a musician, artist,
a religious-studies-person & environed-
mentalist walk into a bar, so to  speak—
in manners of speaking.

Also an assess-mentalist, empower-
mentalilst,  evaluationist, administrator,
farmer & gardener of local food,  lock
smith and homeland security expert,
admissions & advancement technologist,
media & computing systems analyst &
maintenance, sustainable-ist, librarian,
plumbing and heating specialist, auto
motivational repair and management,
perhaps a pastor, rabbi, Buddhist,
Muslim, yoga, Pilates and Wellness
representative…

And we sit together. No pores, no portals,
no doors, no exit:  a social network: blind
myn surrounding  the Elephant in a Room
of Our Own where we meet on the  street
where we live: lap & desktop mediacy
24/7/365 like never before .reaching out
to touch some bodies; can you hear me now?   .

I declaring what the elephant is like from
where-I’m-calling-from, stand & deliver
& won't be giving in to what I hear just
because it differs radically & incom-
mensurately from where I hold on, hold
on to what I’ve got.  Turn  it up: my point
of viewingm expecting emerging values and
phenomena.—a gen-edification.  Shining.

( Or if I  don’t want to do it
in the road here, The Furman
Sustainability Center will pay
me  a thousand dollars to do it
over there: out sourcing.,
silly!)

Always for the Sake of Argument,
Sam
