Conviction of Sin (My Misanthropologic)

Ah, the Humanities

Diogenes, Epimenides,
Procrustes, and Narcissus
walk into a bar. . ..

Sphinx, looking for some
academic action,  asks
what’s up--
walking on all
fours,
twos, and threes?

 “The Damned Human Race”
                             (Twain)

      Conviction of “Sin”
 (I.E. es, esse: essence, Being)

Damned all my life: damaged &
damaging,  damnit—
the damage done.

Every step I take, move I make:
I’ve been botching things.

Violating the whole,  rip-off artist
naturally selecting what serves my
measurable aims & objectives.
attention deficient to the rest &
remainder of the days..

No wonder I feel guilt,
if not shame.  Makes good sense.

Granite: this kind of talk don’t
convince savvy & conscientious
& don’t be talking this way to
Oprah or Dr. Phil or  any post
modernist passed the Ageof
Enlightenment  & Reason’s Why. ..

Wounded, sure.
Vulnerable: ok.
Victims galore.

Abusers to the right of me;
Abusers to the left. Heal! Heal!.

But OMG: darned if I can get away
abusing the D word  sounding like a
judgment rather than mere description,
is what it is as the students say.

   “The Damned Human Race”
       Damaged and Damaging
          if we do or don’t.

Truth is beauty and beauty: truth;
that is all we know and need to know

(It’s  the denial & cover-up that generates
the sulfur & thickens the bozone layer.
Or you say it then:  what it is.
We can argue.)   .
.
xxxooo, Presbyter
(my ego is crucified is why
I can talk like this.))
