Cry Theatre! Theatre! in a Crowded Fire

Dear Colleagues,

Meta Force Be With Us.

One the one hand - "them other guys"   (socios )
One the other hand - NOT  "them other guys" (idios)

An environmental issue.

Just Vote for the sound of the dominant hand clapping?

OR: sustain unceasing ongoing hand-wrestling &
wrangling a not-so-merry-go-round-&-round -- ouch
ooo no-you-dint  oofff ah yes Yes YES  oops damnit
--
cultivating local food for thought and emerging values
and properties born again and again.

When I (newbie) complained to the prospective new dean
coming here after 40 years of a Jensen/Bannerman administration
that this place seemed schizophrenic to me-- hopping up & down
on academic-rigor feet and then (when it suited) saluting work,
service, "nice" & "community"  on the other hand  (I mix meta
force: you got a problem with that?) when that seemed appropriate...

He (Jerry Godard) said: "Yeah--every good school I've ever been
associated with has had that split:  divided we can't stand it for
crying out loud & so--just right for the ongoing agon(y) it takes to
be getting better & good.

Assuming there's a shared environment for this kind
collective fight-club-bray-together-stay-together attitude.

On the one hand: Gaps.  Sparks. Sparking
On the other hand: Bridges Tolls. Trolls

IT's about the environment, the dynamic. Not any "this" or "that"
for crying out loud. IT, I said. Need we argue?  What else is
college good for?

then let men kill which cannot share,
let blood and flesh be mud and mire,
scheming imagine, passion willed,
freedom a drug that's bought and sold

giving to steal and cruel kind,
a heart to fear, to doubt a mind,
to differ a disease of same,
conform the pinnacle of am

though dull were all we taste as bright,
bitter all utterly things sweet,
maggoty minus and dumb death
all we inherit,all bequeath

and nothing quite so least as truth
--i say though hate were why men breathe--
because my Father lived his soul
love is the whole and more than all

Dooms of Love.
