Dear American Literati and
Colleagues Across the Curriculum

Incommensurate
 
I ‘m telling my self that that
word is worth the tuitional
price of admission for this
course. You could of used
that money on a 2nd hand
motor cycle &  made a road
trip toward Santa Cruz - but
instead you got up before 8 to
receive the word
 
       Incommensurate
 
You can use that word the
rest of your life to unscramble
bias and belief tangles folks
generate trying to assess and
evaluate others and other
systems in their own terms
not realizing  how reductive
and contaminating  they are
being doing injustice to the
integrity of the Other. .
 
Of course: it can’t be avoided:
incommensuration. We got to be
measuring in our own terms, yes? 
A crime against the whole, sure.
Ongoing moving violators  No doubt.
But knowing it helps.  Less  issues
to deal with.
