My students lean into an examination
like it was some powder snow in the
Wasatch, smoking down the mountain
in immediate gratification.

I instruct them right off from the start
and in the beginning—WORD: Don’t
gimme any of that thesis-driven,
consistent, coherent, clarificational,
aims, goals and measurable outcomes
stuff: no research on line or off need
apply. .
Save it for them other guys.
