Fundamentalists. Conservatives:.

      

My summer of contra versions and

argu-mentalism (shining golden fleeced
argo-nautical  edifying of  grail construction):
joy to the whirl.  

               

Dear Colleagues,  sustained converse across the
 curriculum mothers our new ideas and values
and phenomenon generating  innovation out of
rigor,  invention out of discourse & dispute

Local food.  Imagine. Renewable and renewing
resource.

So we are Phdegreed:  libraries of info and method
from our disciplines.  Dedicated to critical thinking
& accuracy, clarity, coherence, consistency. And truth,

no doubt. Rigor, yes: but can we  put IT in play?

Or just clerk, curate, archive,  spectate and function:
raised against the machine and quietly used to it.

You think argument …

(converse action call it —contraries &  contra dictions,
ortho & unortho-doxo-logic jousting belief and bias
against each other;  meta force forcing its ways to make
known,  poly-amorous amateur standings standing up
for one’s  hold  on the Elephant-in-the-Room no matter

our common sense and convenient convention…)

is a waste of time? 

Shame is on you.  

Peer pressure forever.

In the closet, then with the  cupboards and cupcakes.
Call it gentility.  Politically erect.  Rigor, if you want.
But not mere  academics.
