Could this statement possibly provoke, taunt,

tease out thinking both critical and uncritical

across the curriculum?

1)   Do you yourself see  pattern recognition

            as essentially what-it-is to be human

           or at least to perceive as human?

      2)  Do you see it as both a gift and a trap?

      3) And so what, of course—always the most

                deadly and lively of questions.

                              So…what?
