(Our pedagogical algorithm: one size pretty much
fits all content, topic, subject matter not with standing)

What’s to be said about our liberalism?
(The word originally means “grow.”)

Our academics are conservative: standard
old-school pedagogy  for the stressed.
Assigned text, lecture &  discussion, maybe
power point updating over head  projection,
papers &  exams and, for some, quizzes to
make sure they do the reading,  rigor trumping
resilience:  no one wants to be seen as easy.
Information
transfer. Same as it always was.

Typed all my college papers on this—prior to wite-out
Took notes with a pre-bic fountain pen.  My first course,
sat sandwiched
between corporate heirs Jock Pillsbury
and Jack Heinz
—large lecture hall, people flapping and
refolding newspapers under the nose of  the lecturer.
Didn’t make no never mind with him: information
transfer: take it or leave it. Smokem
if you gotem.
More same as it always was than different.

Liberal.
  Liberating.  Empowering..
