Fundamentalist
Friend. Hammer in
the
morning. Hammer in the evening.
All
over this land. You
nail it again
and
again. The living Christ.
And
I agree. My conviction
of sin, close
as
any has come, nailing
it: describing
the
condition my condition is in.
I’d
put IT in other words (
count the ways)
so
as maybe to make IT
more accessible
to
the modern and post-modern sensibility
generations
x & y as well as varieties of
religious
experiencers and liberal art.
But
if one don’t overly quibble over
letters
of the law: spirit shines thru—
amazing
grace. Wretch like me.
