Analogue Vs Digital process
Show & Tell
“She wants to show instead of tell” the student
writes, expressing a bias of Creative Writing
dogma like don’t postpone joy, smell the coffee:
show it, don’t say it—indicating a preference
for analogue process over digital. “If I could say it,”
said Isadora ,”I wouldn’t have to dance it.” Which
sentiment would be difficult to dance and get the
meaning across. Walking the talk; talking the walk.
If I could dance it, I wouldn’t have to say it. If
showing off were sufficient would I be trying
to tell all?
