Dear Transcendental Romantics & Colleagues Across the
Curriculum,
And all shall be well
and
All manner of thing shall be well
By the purification of the motive
In the ground of our beseeching.
I’m Not For
Everyone

Yr. Student Responds to Last Class
Prior to Flight Home
"Preaching to my friends, don't let the pharmaceutical
companies take your money or your chi- get off your
mild medications,
they are keeping you tame- for
heaven's sake don't use fluoride tooth paste, it's been
proven to cause cellular damage and calcify your third
eye. I leave for home in 30 minutes, bound for mommy
on her anti-depressants, blood pressure meds, and
benzos; daddy on high doses of opiates, anti-depressants,
circulatory meds, allergy meds; grandma on who knows
what plus a lot of pain pills; and little sissy on what I
honestly couldn't tell you, I know she's tried out all of
the "uppers, downers, laughers, and screamers" as
Hunter
S might say. I wouldn't dare tell my parents that some of
their medicines are keeping them complacent and void of
energy, which is what I believe.
I think the aspect of myself that is weakest is the self I
let be around my parents; I won't stand up because if
what I were to say reaches them they are going to feel
it where it hurts, they don't do shit with their lives but
live vicariously through mine. I've tried telling them,
but they put up walls to keep the truth out. I just went
off of my last lingering medication... but the food and
water I drink is filled to the brim with chemicals I don't
want in my body, so is the air and the soil I walk on.
It just makes me feel like the people before me didn't take
care of their home, and ignorance was a huge factor 'back
in the day' but we know better than to shit where we eat
and yet it happens all of the time. Do people really not
care about what their children are going to do when the
problems we keep band-aiding explode?
I rambled and have no direction
with this response, and honestly
I'm not concerned because I get
to see my dog in a matter of hours
so wah-doo happy day and a merry
turkey feast to all" .-Cupcakes
Maybe You’re Not For Everyone, too.
Some guru
Krishna-something-or-other on URTV
last night
was playing prophet—wonderfully smooth slab-sided cheeks
and semi-scrutable demeanor delivering slow- motion
meaningful
ancient truth we’ve all heard before to a rapt audience of
groan-ups
solemn faced, raped, enraptured, captured and captivated by the
persona sounding thru the kingdom within: priceless, home where
I AM., don’t be seeking it elsewhere the source of your eternal &
unquenchable thirst is with you all ways always.

A Death blow is a Life blow to Some
Who till they died, did not alive
become—
Who had they lived, had died but when
They died, Vitality begun.
Sex & Drugs but no rock & roll. Prostitution &

then on the other:

bi-polar binging & purging
anxiety disorder,
cutting, panic, anti-social socio-pathologic:
all variations on what it's like to be and to be treated for what
it's like to be a ONE which is the theme of the course.
What IS it like to be a ONE?
And the one I AM?
Every one an expert of one. Do we need myn-in-white coats to
answer this?
Go-to-the-library research?
Wikipaedea? Down
the hall to ask the
psychology department? Religion? Philosophy?
Sociologic? Theologic?
Of course.
Of course we do.
All that and more, or what’s
a college for
if not to figure out what-it’s-like to be a ONE,
and in particular: the one that I AM (I am not
every body & you’re not every body either)
and we shall never cease
from exploration…
“I CELEBRATE myself, and
sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good
belongs to you. . .”
