I’m saved, salved,
sealed-in, protected,
homeland secure, wrapped &
swaddled
in the arms of god, minion-surrounded
& defended: no logic
or sermon or fact
or stat or data or poll
can change my
mind-set.
Sure: you can convince me to
buy a Ford
over a Chevvy, change my mind
about
paper over plastic, taste or calories, the
significance of gluten: real-time
either/ors
& specific decisions I
might waffle over;
but Mind Set is
impermeable, impenetrable,
impregnable—can’t pin the
tale on the
donkey even I can’t make
me change my
mind-set. Salvation
surround sound: it’s
an environed mental issue.
