seem to
have in common an
addiction to the literal. Fundamentalists
embrace it
enormously
& conscientiously; atheists ridicule it without
respite rationalistically &
logically positively: both
stuck in the same
tar-baby
materialism unable
to appreciate figures of speech --wings
of doves
and storks hauling
bundles of postponed joy. Meta
force be
with them
both and with
their spirit.
