Bromides for a New Year
BROMIDES for a New Year: Your goodness must have edge to it,
else it is none. Accentuate the Negative. Positive’s a piece
of cake.
(ie: no problem.) An
enemy is as good as a Buddha. The doctrine of
hate must be preached as counter-action to the doctrine of love
when
that pules and whines. (Somewhat from Emerson’s Self Reliance.
What does “pule” mean? my students ask.) And don’t postpone
joy,
hog jaws and black-eyed peas/
