Wholes and Parts
Would Jane Goodall scold
the chimps for their chimp
behavior? Heaven’s no.
Would God? Of course not.
Looky, Looky: they’d both
be saying. Consider them
apes.
The chimps themselves
full of simian ethic &
primate Good & Evil:
they’d reprimand for
sure
Jail & punish;
salute & reward.
Like first grade :
gold star or spanking
so as to grow some
moral monkeys.
But Jane? No.
God? of course not
Just watching. Aesthetes.
All good from where they
stand & interesting, too
regardless of what the
monkeys have to say.
