Represent
“Would you look up at
all those goddamn stars,”
he said. “Points as sharp
as daggers, I bet.”
“Actually, they're giant
balls of gas,: Charlie said.'
“They don't have points.”
“What's your point?”
Jimmie said.
“My point is that the
common representation
of a star with five points
is not the same thing as
one of the celestial beings
you so admire.”
Dean Bakopoulos, “Happy”
Right there:
the gap between
what's actually happening
and then the ways we talk about
what's actually happening. Happily.
And then also: the gap between
the ways we talk about way's
we talk about what's actually
happening and what’s
actually happening.
Perhaps.
It's the same
gap
gape
chasm
chaos
yawning transparency
so transparent it’s transparent --
invisible hands: my representing,
your representing, our systems
of representing what’s actually
happening.
Hap happens..
IT need not be pursued.
IT, I said. Do I have to spell
IT out?
xxxooo. Sam
