I didn’t say a thing you didn’t already
know this morning. Just used words
reserved for certain negative slots in
normal (common sense) discourse,
hauled them out of the cellar and tried
to clean them up for decent company.
Givem a haircut & a clean shirt for
crying out loud Let them represent. .
Once “Violence” and “Criminal” and
“Discrimination” and “Bias” and
“Prejudice” are seen as momentarily
not outlaw but all in the humaniac family,
they can be put to use descriptively
among politically correct who might
briefly tolerate their resistance to earth
quake tremors of cultural connotation;.
and so our ability to conjure notions of the
WHOLE,
of Systemic Evolution
Nature & the
Meta-Sustainability beyond our
Species Lucid Schemes
is reconfigured and the natural limitations
of our partial views become part of the
play and not denied and covered-up. .
S’All GOOD and yet
The horror! The horror!
Depressing? Of course.
How could it be otherwise.
But not necessarily DEPRESSING
Transforming.
Demoralizing—yes, how can a
conscious system self correct without
demoralization? But not necessarily
DEMORALIZING, know what I mean?
Transforming.
What a relief (ultimately) to know I can’t
get IT right: my words and actions always
doing severe injustice to what I’m saying,
& trying, as well as to the Whole & Holy.
No wonder I feel guilty, inadequate,
anxious but no longer necessarily feeling
guilty about feeling guilty, or anxious about
my anxiety, know what I’m saying? .
Makes GOOD sense.
ME: bull in a china shop,
damaged and damaging if I do
or even if I don’t do: just standing
their wrinkling an ear, twisting my tail,
squinching a shoulder tick and o my god:
knock down a tea party set, but it’s all good
and state-of-the-art, too.
Who, till they died, did not alive become;
Who, had they lived, had died, but when
They died, vitality begun.
(Emily Dickinson)
