“Rigor” as a descriptive makes sense  
when it applies to some  activity where
someone is devoted
 
Yet in such instances it cheapens a
process driven by  proper
compulsion.
 
One dedicating hours to trombone
might acknowledge any onlooker
calling IT rigorous-if-you-insist
but probably won’t talk about
himself and what  he does
in such terms
 
Boot camp is rigorous.
Less so at Fort Dix  than at Paris Island.
 
Folks might could say I’m “disciplined.”
I’m over at my office/study/studio  4:45
every morning.
 
That would be a joke.
Talking about my ob ob obsession
in the terms of discipline..
 
Might as well describe sphere in terms
of circles.
